Ballet Midwest Dances at Evergy Plaza

Ballet Midwest will present the northeast Kansas premier of “Don Quixote” at Evergy Plaza on Saturday, August 29 at 7:30p. The event is outdoors and free to the public.

Originally scheduled to perform on the stage at TPAC last April, the event was moved to August 29 + 30 at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. With new regulations for social distancing and in order to ensure safety of the dancers, the company decided it best to move the performance from the large auditorium to an outside venue. The Sunday matinee performance has been canceled, but the Saturday evening show will go on – now free to the public.

Patrons are to bring a chair or cushion to sit on, must wear a mask.

“Don Quixote” is a Spanish-themed ballet suited for the whole family. Join the man of La Mancha as he encounters a cast of colorful characters while searching for adventure. Don’t miss this feel-good ballet that ends in a glorious celebration of love, chivalry, and eternal friendship.

No admission ticket required.

In order to keep our community safe, we will be requiring all audience members and volunteers in attendance to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing rules
